Blackpool Transfer Talk- Pool in for Redshaw
Pool are believed to still be interested in the forward and a second bid is likely. Redshaw has a year left on his contract and Morecambe face losing him for nothing next summer if he does not agree a new deal, therefore a deal to purchase the striker this summer is more likely should their valuation of the player be met. The arrival of Redshaw would be in addition to the arrival of another League Two striker, Mark Cullen, who joined the Seasiders on a two year deal on Tuesday.
The signing of Mark Cullen and the interest in Jack Redshaw means Neil McDonald is clearly targeting lower league players for his Blackpool team, but is this the right transfer policy? When players are signed from lower leagues there is always the worry that they won't make the step up. Is McDonald simply being forced to target lower league players because of Oyston's refusal to invest significantly? Or is he intentionally targeting lower league players to inject some desire and hunger into the side?
