Meet the Referee v Burnley



Blackpool take on burnley in the sky TV 5.15 Kick Off on Friday. Blackpool need a response to their 2-0 loss to Leeds on Saturday as they look to try and secure their place in the championship for another year.

The man who will take charge of this game will me Michael Oliver. The 29 year old became the youngest Premier League Referee in 2010 When he was promoted and took charge of the Fulham v Portsmouth premier league match on 9th January 2010.

So far this season Oliver has taken charge of one Championship game between Reading and Nottingham forest. The game ended in a 1-1 draw and Oliver dished out 7 yellow cards in the game.

The last Blackpool game that Oliver took charge of was the 2012 Derby at Turf Moor against Burnley. The game ended in a 1-0 defeat for the seasiders with 4 yellow cards being dished out. 2 of those were for Blackpools Ian Evatt and Stephen Crainey.
