Can Blackpool Survive?
One win in 19 league games is a poor run. However, up until last week it was a winless run and the only thing we fans were concerned about was actually winning a game.

Now that`s out of the way however and we have won a game, how much chance do we actually stand of staying in the division?

Pool currently sit 18th in the table with 38 points, six points above the relegation zone. However, they do sit 22nd in the form table which is certain to worry many supporters.

Looking at the teams down the bottom though, Pool certainly have enough quality to survive comfortably. Although the squad may not be as great as it once was, the players are still capable of doing a good job in the championship.
Players like Fuller, Keogh and Perkins will be key if the Tangerines are to survive. The rest of the team all need to pull together and battle like they have before and how we know they can. Barry Ferguson recently stated: 'I want to play nice, attractive football but it has got to the stage where we need to grind out wins.`

'I have never had anything like this in my life, with a team on this kind of run, we have ended it now and I am not getting carried away. We have still got miles and miles to go yet.`

It`s certainly nice to hear Ferguson say that he wants to play attractive football. After all, none of us like to see boring, defensive football. It is also right for him to come out and say that results are more important at the moment. At this stage in the season, wins are what`s needed and I for one am happy to see the attractive football put on hold for a while if it means the team can secure the wins needed to stay up.

Staying in the division is important for the club. Getting relegated to league one would be an absolute disaster, considering how good the team was only a couple of years ago. Let`s all hope the club can do it. UTMP!
