Talksport: Pool Look to Croatian International

Blackpool are set to move for Croatian goalkeeper Vedran Runje, say Talksport.

The 35-year-old stopper has played 42 times for his country whilst holding down a place at a host of European teams, including Marseille, Besiktas, Standard Leige and Hajduk Split.

Playing over 100 games for Lens, Runje was unable to prevent their relegation from Ligue 1 in France.

That disappointment means - in a parallel to some of Blackpool's players - he exercises a clause in his contract which allows him to move on. Unlike the well-known DJ Campbell clause, this would be a free transfer.

Runje won Goalkeeper of the Year in Belgium three times in 1999, 2001 and 2006.
