'Pool Interested In Italian Midfielder?

Former Sevilla midfielder Enzo Maresca could be a target for Blackpool, if reports are to believed.

Maresca, who has been a big hit all over Europe during his career, has recently been released by Olympiakos.

That means any Premiership team wanting to sign him can, if they have enough room inside the 25-man squad limit.

Ian Holloway does have the capacity to capture another player, after registering 24 first team players over the age of 21.

Maresca, who is 30, has already had experience of English football after a spell at West Bromwich Albion from '98 to 2000 - before earning a move to Juventus.

West Brom are one of the top flight teams rumoured to be interested in his services - along with 'Pool.

The others are West Ham United and Blackburn Rovers.

The playmaker has been on trial at Galatasaray but after they weren't willing to make a commitment until the new year, Maresca is perhaps keener on a move sooner rather than later, which has attracted the attention of English clubs.
