Wolves Striker Latest Linked With Blackpool

Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has been linked with a move to Bloomfield Road by the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old was the main man for Wanderers in the Championship when they were promoted in 2009 - scoring 25 goals.

However, he struggled to make an impact in the Premiership last season after the club signed Kevin Doyle to lead the line.

Ebanks-Blake has history with the 'Pool manager Ian Holloway. The pair were together at Plymouth where the striker scored 23 in 56 starts.

Ollie said last year that: "the kid is going to get better and better - a natural goalscorer and a good kid, too. When I took him to Plymouth from Man United a few years ago, you could tell he was going to be a Premier League player."

With Blackpool only boasting Jason Euell and Ben Burgess as recognised strikers (with Brett Ormerod and Gary Taylor-Fletcher largely used as widemen) it's imperative that quality is brought into the club before the start of pre-season next month. Blake could be just that.

Ebanks-Blake would be a key signing if the rumours are true and despite not cutting it in the top flight so far, still would infinitely improve the Seasiders.

Andy Keogh has been made available for transfer by Mick McCarthy at Wolves - another one to possibly look at?
