Burnley Man Set For 'Pool Talks?

Burnley winger Robbie Blake could be on his way to Bloomfield Road, according to media sources in Burnley.

Several of their websites are carrying the story that after Blake turned down a new two-year deal with the Clarets, he's looking for a Premiership return.

That puts the Seasiders in the frame, after Blake said he didn't want to move to a divisional rival in the Championship.

The 34-year-old played over 240 games in his two spells at Turf Moor betwen 02-05 and 07-10.

Although Ian Holloway's transfer policy is seemingly to get young talent in, a couple of wiser heads could be what's needed if 'Pool have any chance of staying in the Premiership.

In attack is definitely an area which needs strengthening. Blake is always a threat from either flank and would provide much needed quality on the ball.
