Seip To Sign For Rivals

Marcel Seip's stay at Bloomfield Road has come to an end, if today's newspaper reports are to be believed.

The on loan Plymouth central defender is set to sign on loan for playoff rivals Sheffield United once the transfer window opens in two days time.

He played seven times for the Seasiders since his move back in September, scoring twice.

But his defending - which led to him being touted as the Championship's top defender a couple of seasons ago - came into question and he surprisingly didn't have the impact many had wanted.

This could've included Holloway, who has gone on record to say that Seip is perhaps not worth the wages Argyle pay him.

Argyle head coach Paul Mariner said: 'Blackpool showed some interest, but Sheffield United showed more interest.'

All this means that 'Pool now need to dip into the transfer market for another defender, which could make January a busy month.

Many believe the club are short of a defender, midfielder and a striker.
