Blackpool Eye Another Young Gunner?

Rumours are circulating in the national press that The Seasiders are chasing young Arsenal striker Gilles Sunu.

The 18-year-old has played consistantly for the reserves at the Emirates for a spell and it's thought that a loan move would progress his development.

After the relative success of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas' move to Bloomfield Road, Arsene Wenger probably wouldn't have any qualms in blooding more youth here.

Sunu looks to be a good prospect as well. The Frenchman stood out in the Under 18's double winning team last campaign, scoring at crucial times.

Steve Claridge did a scouting report on him after the youth FA Cup win, noting that the 6ft man was capable of holding the ball up but also had pace to burn and a lethal finish.

Meanwhile, manager Ian Holloway lavished praise on Thomas as he returned to Arsenal after Saturday's win against Scunthorpe United.

Holloway said: "There's no doubt he has so many tricks and can do things some of our other players can't.

"He just needs to use what he's got in the right way and we have tried to help him with that.

"If he keeps his head and down and applies himself then he has the ability to be a top, top footballer."
