Pool MOM: Vs Birmingham/QPR

Pool MOM: Vs Birmingham/QPR
Blackpool proved yet again how inconsistent they can be...what a difference two games can make!

Birmingham was a fantastic performance with a few different names cropping up for the man of the match, where as QPR was a terrible performance, meaning it was rather hard to pick a man of the match but one player got a few votes and scoops the win.

Firstly let's start with the positive, the Birmingham game. There were several superb displays on Saturday, with most of the squad being mentioned in the thread where players were nominated. Overall DJ Campbell, Stephen Crainey and David Fox all picked up one vote.

Gary-Taylor Fletcher in a new role of playing upfront for the Seasiders picked up 3 votes and finishes in second place. GTF had a great game upfront and linked up with DJ Cambpell great and Taylor-Fletcher set up DJ's goal with a nice left footed cross.

The winner this week is the captain Rob Edwards, who gave a superb performance at the back and won everything and was quite remarkable. Edwards with this win picks up his second MOTM award, his first come against Norwich all the way back in August.

Moving onto the negative, QPR on Tuesday night. The least said about this the better, so to sum it up David Vaughan was the only player who was actually voted for and he received a few votes. One member voted for Wayne Routledge, who did have a good game, but I am afraid he can not be counted seen as doesn't play for Blackpool!

Here is how after these two games the leader board looks:

Name Points
Ian Evatt 4
Adam Hammill 4
Steve Kabba 3
Alan Gow 3
Gary Taylor-Fletcher 2
Paul Rachubka 2
Alex John-Baptiste 2
Kyel Reid 2
Rob Edwards 2
David Vaughan 2
Ben Burgess 1
Shaun Barker 1
Liam Dickinson 1
David Fox 1
DJ Campbell 1
