MOM vs Swansea

Despite another disappointing home display there was six different players nominated this week. A few players can hold their heads up high as we look back on the nominations for the Swansea Man of the match.

Joe Martin, Adam Hammill, Kyel Reid and Alan Gow all received one vote each. Martin has looked very good since coming into left back and has managed to fight off competition from new signing Ian Harte. The two on loan wingers Reid and Hammill showed skill and had decent games, whilst Gow came off the bench at half time to score a good goal.

Keith Southern received votes, doing what he does best working hard and getting those tackles in.

The clearer winner this week with 8 votes and picking up his second MOTM award (in only four appearances) is Alex John-Baptiste. Baptiste had a great game at the back and denied Swansea a goal with a superb last ditch block and generally had a good game at the heart of the defence and is certainly proving he is than capable at this level since his summer move from Mansfield.

Here is the latest table:

Name Points
Ian Evatt 4
Adam Hammill 4
Steve Kabba 3
Gary Taylor-Fletcher 2
Alan Gow 2
Paul Rachubka 2
Alex John-Baptiste 2
Rob Edwards 1
Ben Burgess 1
Shaun Barker 1
Kyel Reid 1
Liam Dickinson 1
David Fox 1
