Blackpool MOM vs Burnley

Waiting outside the ground one woman quoted that they were going to 'Ram Blackpool up the tower and then thrash them back down'. We laughed this quote off at first thinking she was a bit mad, but in all honesty she wasn't far wrong on what was a terrible performance by the Seasiders. So no surprise that only 3 people got nominated for man of the match. If we had to choose the worst player there would've been far more nominations!

Paul Rachubka finishes in 3rd place for this game with 2 votes (he actually got a 3rd vote after the deadline, which would have tied him with second). Rabs gave a good performance in goal and made a few saves to keep the score down at 2-0.

Making his first league start David Vaughan came 2nd with 3 votes, Vaughan gave a good performance in the middle of the pitch, making some good passes and getting some tackles in. Shame the same can`t be said for the rest of the midfield.

Winning this week with 6 votes (also got a vote after the deadline which would have been 7) was Ian Evatt, who in all honesty had a blinder of a game. In the first half he made so many tackles and kept the score at 0-0 going into half time. Lets hope the other 3 defenders decide to play like Evatt at Birmingham, and we may actually get somewhere.

So after that atrocious game, here is the leader board:

Adam Hammill 2
Steve Kabba 2
Rob Edwards 1
Ben Burgess 1
Ian Evatt 1
