MK Dons 3 - Blackpool 0

National Hockey Stadium

11/02/06

Attendance: 5,691

MK-Dons 3 – 0 Blackpool

Pool go down to bottom-of-the-league MK-Dons 3-0.

Keigan Parker and Marc Joseph were missing from the Seasiders line-up, both due to hamstring injuries. Kuqi took Parkers place and Wilcox replaced Joseph.

The Dons took the lead on 25 minutes when Izale McLeod fired in from close range. After the restart Tony Butler’s poor back pass was latched onto by former Pool player Scott Taylor, he’s rounded Jones and slotted his first goal since his move to the Hockey Stadium.

Two minutes later Butler picked up his second booking of the afternoon for a foul on McLeod, the sending off meant Edwards came on for Ian Morris, which resulting in a 4-3-2 formation for the rest of the match.

Keith Lasley made his first appearance in a Pool shirt, he replaced David Fox on 48 minutes, but the Seasiders weren’t able to salvage anything from the match and McLeod slotted in his second of the afternoon and MK-Don’s third.
