Cheltenham vs. Blackpool

Whaddon Road

21st April 2007

Cheltenham v Blackpool

A win at Cheltenham and results going our way can see our place in the play-off spot secured this weekend.

Vital Quotes:

Cheltenham Team News:

Cheltenham are unbeaten in four which has seen them pulling themselves slightly out of the relegation scrap. A win over Orient, Brentford, a draw to Chesterfield and then the big win at Oldham on Saturday has seen them rise to 6th in the form table. They reside in 19th now, four points clear of the relegation spot.

Player to watch: Kayode Odejayi

The Nigeria born forward struck is 12th league goal of the season against Oldham on Saturday, his 14th of the season. The forward signed from Forest Green Rovers for £5,000 in 2003.

Blackpool Team News:

Simon Grayson may make one change for the game with Chris Brandon starting ahead of Adrian Forbes after he impressed with a brace from a half time substitution. Matthew Blinkhorn didn`t make the bench following his return from Morecambe due to a groin injury and Scott Vernon missed out last Saturday due to injury. This might mean no recognised striker again on the bench but with the midfield department chipping in with goals in recent weeks it won`t be too much of a concern for Grayson.

Player to watch: Wes Hoolahan

Wes grabbed his 9th goal this season in the win over Northampton and provided the cross for the forth goal on Saturday. He`s in form at the moment and lets hope it lasts into the play-offs.

Match Facts & Stats

Goals from Morrell and Hoolahan gave Pool a win at Bloomfield this season against Cheltenham. Damian Spencer gave the away side the lead, Pool`s winner came from Hoolahan in the 80th minute.
