Pool look to take one step closer to the automatic spots and at the same time bolster their play-off spot against Northampton this weekend.

Blackpool Team News:

Joe Hart will keep his place in the side with Paul Rachubka, Rhys Evans and Lewis Edge all still injured. David Fox who missed the last match due to a heavy challenge in the Tranmere game has been give a 50-50 rating of being available for selection but Keith Southern slotted into his role well in the starting 11, with Marcus Bean as the recognised midfielder on the bench.

Matty Blinkhorn may also find himself on the bench after he was recalled from a loan spell at Morecambe, Blinks banging in 8 goals in 12 appearance for the Shrimps.

Player to watch: Joe Hart

After joining very late last Friday Hart made his debut against Huddersfeild Town, after one shaky punch Hart pulled off some magnificent saves in the second half to keep a deserved clean sheet.

Northampton Team News:

Captain Chris Doig is set to miss the match after a groin injury. Sean Dyche is ready to step up to the starting 11. Bradley Johnson is banned, and Joe Burnell has a long term ankle injury.

Town come into the game in good form and on Monday beat top of the table Scunthorpe at the Sixfeilds. Alex Pearce in the first half, an equalizer from Billy Sharp with the winner coming in the 90 minute from Bradley Johnson, who is suspended this Saturday.

Player to watch: Kenneth Deuchar

Last year there was a lot of hype about Deuchar who bagged 24 goals for Gretna in the Scottish Division 2. His step up to the first division in Scotland hasn`t been that easy and was loaned out to the Cobblers in February. From his 12 starts he`s managed to bag 3 goals so far.

Pool were pegged back after taking the lead in the reverse of this fixture in November, a first half Andy Morrell goal was cancelled out by Eion Jess`s goal in the second half, Jess this week left the club announcing his retirement from football.

The last meeting at Bloomfield between the two sides ended in a Pool 2-1 win back in 2003. Darryn Stamp opened the scoring, Richard Walker hit a penalty to equalize and John Murphy grabbed a winner in the 90th.
