Blackpool vs. Bristol City

Bloomfield Road

17/02/2007

15:00

Bristol City V Pool

Blackpool return to league action to face fellow F.A. Cup fourth round replay losers Bristol City at Bloomfield Road.

Blackpool Team News:

Simon Grayson as a double striker problem with Andy Morrell out with a knock and Scott Vernon with a CALF strain. Morrell missed the Norwich game and Vernon was replaced early in the second hal will get a rare start together if Morrell and Vernon aren`t fit. Simon Gillett may also come into the side after being illegible for the cup game. Paul Tierney should be fit after taking a few knocks on Tuesday night.

Player to watch: David Fox

Fox showed he could mix it with Safri on Tuesday night, cool and collected on the ball with some great distribution too. Let`s hope with one of those balls he`s able to release Parker who has gone six games without scoring.

Bristol City Team News:

City have numerous problems but can welcome back Wayne Andrews, Kevin Betsy and Brian Wilson after they were illegible. Louis Carey and Jamie McAllister are suspended for the game and Steve Brooker may make a return to the side after illness, he featured in a mid-week reserve game but Saturday might be too soon for the forward. Fellow striker Enoch Showunmi is ruled out due to an abdominal injury.

City will also have the disadvantage of having to play 120 minutes on Tuesday, they were defeated in a shoot out by Middlesbrough after drawing the match 2-2.

Player to watch: Phil Jevons

The former Everton trainee has made a good start to his career at City after the close move frm Yeovil. He`s scored 7 goals in the league but made an impression in the F.A. Cup with 4 goals in 5 matches.

Match Facts & Stats

Pool defeated City earlier this season in one of the standout performances this campaign. Vernon, Jackson, Parker and Graham gave Pool a 4-2 away win with Showumin with a brace for City.

Last season at Bloomfield Road the teams shared the point, Murphy scored on 5 for the home side and Brooker scored the equaliser.
