This is a six pointer, no question about it.
A win pulls us clear of the drop zone once more, but anything less and we're nervously looking over our shoulders.
And with a difficult run of fixtures in December, nobody wants that.
Mick McCarthy will have his side pumped up for this one after Ian Holloway's recent comments about his team selection against Manchester United last season, but the Seasiders have more than enough quality (on their day) to get the three points tomorrow.
Come On You 'Pool!
Charlie Adam should be fit for the game despite picking up an injury in Scotland's midweek win over the Faroe Islands.
Speaking from the training ground yesterday, the 'Pool skipper said:
'I am a wee bit sore and stiff in the knee, but I should be OK for Saturday.
'We need to try to win every game, no matter who we are playing against. We will be preparing well for it and hopefully we will be ready.'
As above, Charlie Adam should be fit for the game. Matt Gilks, however, will not be. He has broken his kneecap and faces up to three months on the sidelines; a fact first revealed by this website. Expect Richard Kingson to deputise with young Mark Halstead coming onto the bench following his recall from Barrow.
Alex Baptiste may make the bench following his return to action in the reserves this week.
A big day for Ghana's number one.
He's not had a great club career at all, but he has one final shot at the Premier League with the Seasiders; can he take it or will the pressure be too much?
Christophe Berra and Steven Mouyokolo returned to training this week and are expected to be available.
Ronald Zubar also returned to training, but the game has come too soon for him.
Jody Craddock and Dave Edwards remain on the sidelines however.
Has little/no footballing ability, but his 'tackles' have the potential to disrupt the flow of the Seasiders' play.
Expect him to target Charlie boy, especially given his midweek injury.
Blackpool have 34 wins in this clash, compared to Wolves' 45. There have been 20 draws.
The last time the two sides met at Bloomers was in December 08/09. The game finished 2-2, with Taylor-Fletcher and Edwards earning a point for Tony Parkes' men.
Our biggest win over Wolves? 7-2 in 1961/2.
Bolton away next week.
