Seasiders Look To Bounce Back Against Hornets

Blackpool will be looking to get back to winning ways this afternoon against Watford.

A disappointing run of form has seen the 'Pool slip out of the top six.

However, they're still only two points off the playoffs despite being ninth and three points this afternoon would certainly put them back in the mix - especially with only two other games taking place in the Championship today.

Vital Quotes:

Ian Holloway:

'Our first half performance against Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night was one of the worst I've seen from us this season.

'At the moment our football has got us into ninth and two points off the play-offs. I don't think we did enough to get to fifth on Tuesday night and we now need to see what we can do in the next few weeks.'

Blackpool Team News:

The Seasiders have no fresh injury or suspension concerns, but expect changes after Tuesday night - surely Keith Southern is nailed on for a return to the starting eleven?

Player to watch: Brett Ormerod

Brett has been in very good form recently, and the Seasiders will be hoping that he has enough in the tank to play his third game of the week.

Watford Team News:

Stephen McGinn could feature after signing from St. Mirren, but Scott Severin may miss out through injury.

Player to watch: Tom Cleverley

The young midfielder, on loan from Manchester United, has been in sensational form this season, earning rave reviews from anyone and everyone.

He's already scored against us this season and will pose a big threat again this afternoon.

Match Facts & Stats

We've not beaten Watford at home since New Year's Day 1972, when we won 5-0.

Watford have not won away since October, but are unbeaten in five at Bloomfield Road.

If selected, Keith Southern will be making his 300th appearance for the 'Pool.
