Cardiff City vs. Blackpool

Ninian Park

28th October

19:45

Cardiff v Blackpool

By Sam Abbott

Blackpool travel to 4th placed Cardiff City to try and stretch their unbeaten run to 8 games. Last season this fixture ended in a dissapointing 3-1 defeat and earlier this month Alan Gow's 95th minute equaliser claimed a 1-1 draw for the Seasiders.

However, the away form shown by Simon Grayson's side this term has been encouraging, with nine points being earned on the road, with only one defeat. Contrast that to Cardiff's home form, which has seen them amass 13 points at Ninian Park, the fixture could be a tasty affair.

Vital Quotes:

Cardiff manager Dave Jones doesn't think the match earlier this month will have any effect on tomorrow's game. 'That game and the recent run they've been on just tells you there a good side and we know it's going to be tough, as is every game in this division. We'll just hope for a full house at Ninian Park and try to play to our best in order to get the win.'

Cardiff City Team News:

Riccy Scimeca and Tony Capaldi are out and Mark Kennedy and Darren Purse will have late fitness tests. Joe Ledley is in line to start after playing 70 minutes last time out.

Player to watch: Ross McCormack

The striker caused all sorts of problems to 'Pool's backline at Bloonfield Road earlier this month and by the looks of things, to every other club in the division - as he's put 10 away in the onion bag already this season.

Blackpool Team News:

Danny Coid may lose his place to Mo Camara at left back, whilst Alan Gow and Ben Burgess will continue up front as Steve Kabba is only able to face a late fitness test. Danny Mitchley is likely to appear on the bench after coming on as a subsitute against Palace, although it is rumoured that Daniel Nardiello may figure.

Player to watch: Ben Burgess

Big Ben is proving the doubters wrong with yet another goal to make it 5 so far this season.
