Blackpool vs. West Bromich Albion

Bloomfield Road

08/04/08

19:45

Pool V WBA

After Albion went out of the Cup on Saturday it`s straight back to league action for them with a visit to a sold out Bloomfield Road.

Blackpool Team News:

Simon Grayson is set to name the same side that grabbed a point at Palace over a week ago. Keith Southern and Michael Jackson back after injury but may only make the bench.

Player to watch: Claus Jorgensen

Claus will have to be on the top of his game against West Brom, with the 'Jesus` looking twins Koren and Greening in the middle of the park to content with. He`s also not scored since grabbing the opener in the Ipswich game in late January.

West Bromich Albion Team News:

After defeat to Portsmouth in the FA Cup semi-final Tony Mowbray doesn`t have any new injuries. Luke Moore is back who missed the match due to being cup tied and being banned. Depending on the result between Stoke V Palace tonight Albion are two points away from Stoke who currently sit second in the league.

Player to watch: Kevin Phillips

Watching the match on Saturday Kev Phillips did cause Portsmouth some problems in the first half sitting between the defence and strikers. Linking up with either of the big men Bednar or Miller the striker has had the most amount of shots in the league so far and sits joint top with Ebanks-Blake as the leagues top scorer.

Match Facts & Stats

Pool pushed Albion right to the end earlier in the season when the home side scraped a 2-1 win. Ishmael Miller opened the scoring with a neat turn and finish but Scott Vernon pulled the game level in the first half with his own neat finish. Mike Pike in black didn`t help and James Morrison won the game with a great strike from the edge of the area.

WBA last visited Bloomers in 1993 in league one, Pool ran out 2-1 winners that day.
