It`s ten on the bounce since a league win, fellow promoted side Scunthorpe United are the visitors to Bloomfeild Road, last season we beat them 3-1 twice surely time for a win.
Michael Jackson is going to miss the match due to his suspension picked up from his red card against Barnsley. There was news of Lewis Buxton a central defender joining on loan from Stoke but the deal has now seem to died. Shaun Barker may partner Gorkss in central defense, Coid move to right back as Crainey is out and Hills in at left back. Andy Morrell is ready to start to if there is a change upfront.
A midweek call up to the Republic of Ireland`s B side is a testament to Wes`s hard work. He`s going to look to impress again before he goes to train with the squad, he`s yet to score at home this season so this weekend would be the perfect time.
Scunthorpe have adapted well to life in the Championship after promotion last year. Three wins at home, two away and five draws has placed the Iron in 11th place. Losing Billy Sharp hasn`t been a massive problem with young striker Martin Paterson banging in 6 goals so far.
Defender Cliff Byrne will miss out due to a calf injury. Matt Sparrow may replace him after injury, he`ll go into midfield and moving Jack Cork to right-back.
With a typical footballers haircut Hayes is enjoying his second spell at the club with three goals so far, his last coming in the 2-3 home defeat to Stoke. Hayes started his career at Norwich and then moved to Scunthorpe.
The sides met twice last season and the Seasiders ran out 3-1 winners in both games. The away win one of the best of the season came thanks to Morrell, Hoolahan and Parker. In the home match which saw the Iron win the league the goals came from Jorgensen, Barker and Parker.
