Pool V Port Vale

Blackpool look to get back to winning ways in the league after a win a F.A. Cup with a home match against Port Vale.

Blackpool Team News:

Keigan Parker is back after a one match suspension which made him sit out the FA Cup over Aldershot. But Parker may not walk straight back into the side with Scott Vernon scoring in the Cup match and Andy Morrell bagging a brace too.

Claus Jorgensen may return after injury, his place was given to Gareth Farrelly who may retain his place if Jorgensen doesn`t return. Also Kaspars Gorkšs may start his first match after he impressed replacing Paul Tierney. Rory Prendergast also returns to the squad after a three match suspension.

Player to watch: Kaspars Gorkšs

The lanky Latvian has his first taste of English football in the F.A. Cup last Saturday replacing Paul Tierney in at left-back. Gorkss normally plays at centre back but is comfortable on the flank and may start his first Pool match against Vale.

Port Vale Team News:

Star striker Leon Constantine and midfielder Danny Sonner have been missing with knee injuries, but both are close to returning to first team action. Constantine may replace fellow striker Nathan Lowndes who received eye surgery after a picking up a nasty injury last week. Former Pool defender Mark McGregor is a doubt for due to injury.

EDIT : Leon Constantine has now left Vale for Barnsley

Player to watch: Akpo Sodje

Sodje scored in the match between the two sides earlier this season. Since then he`s added three goals to his tally of seven this season. Big and boisterous he`ll be a handful for Jacko and co.

Match Facts & Stats

Last year Pool were defeated 2-1 at Vale Park, Constantine giving Vale the lead, Sodje doubled the lead in the second half. Keith Southern grabbed a late consolation goal.

In the home game at Bloomfield last season a Gareth Williams goal gave Pool a vital 1-0 win.
