Blackpool vs. Doncaster

Bloomfield Road

30/12/06

15:00

Pool V Doncaster

Blackpool have their second home match in five days with inform Doncaster coming to Bloomfield Road searching for their sixth victory on the trot.

Blackpool Team News:

Grayson is waiting on the fitness of left-back Andy Wilkinson who was injured in the Boxing Day game, Wilkinson was replaced by Vincent Fernandez early in the second half and Fernandez is ready to step in again if Wilkinson doesn`t make it.

Also a doubt is David Fox who has been feeling under the weather but he should play along side midfield partner Keith Southern who seems to have fully recovered from an ankle knock.

Player to watch: Keigan Parker

The lad continues to impress but with a match suspension coming up Parker is going to have to prove that he deserves a starting place with Scott Vernon and Ben Burgess looking to take over from the Scott when he sits out the F.A. Cup tie in the New Year.

Doncaster Team News:

Doncaster can call upon Jason Price after a hamstring injury after he missed the last two games. Manager Sean O`Driscoll may feild the same eleven which started on Boxing Day in the win against Bradford.

Donny have been in great form recently winning five games on the bounce, with a great win over Yorkshire rivals Bradford on Boxing Day.

Player to watch: Paul Heffernan

The Seasiders were said to be interested in the Irish man last season when it was apparent that his services were no longer needed at Bristol City. And you can see why we were interested in him, with him popping in nine goals this season with the last five coming in the last seven matches.

Match Facts & Stats

The two sides met this season in the league at Belle Vue sharing the points in a nil nil draw. Last season the sides met three times, Pool winning both league encounters but being thrashed 4-1 in a F.A. Cup tie.

Let PHT's mate take him out. It's going to be a close one. Won't be over disappointed if it's a draw, hoping we can get a win. Onwards + Upwards

Be aware of the tactical genius of Sean O'Driscoll. This could put a slight diversion in your current good form!
