Accrington Stanley vs. Blackpool

Accrington Stanley V Pool

Pool look to continue their league form in the Johnson Paint Trophy against Lancashire rivals Accrington Stanley.

Accrington Stanley Team News:

Accrington are in poor form at the moment losing the last two, with manager John Colman being rather angry at the defeat to Walsall.

Team news for Accrington is that Andy Tretton is defiantly out with Romuald Boco a doubt. Former Pool defender Leam Richardson will return after a one match suspension was served at the weekend.

Player to watch: Andrew Mangan

Mangan started his career off at Blackpool but didn`t make the grade. Last year the youngster scored some important goal in the promotion season for Stanley but this season has only managed to hit the back of the one time this season.

Blackpool Team News:

Simon Grayson might want to rest some of his first team players but the competition does state that teams must field at least six players who have been evolved in first team action this season. Teams do have to be careful with this as Scunthorpe found out after they were fined £4,500 for fielding weakened team in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Hartlepool too but only £1,500 for the Monkeys Hangers.

Scott Vernon is a doubt and might not be risked along with Ben Burgess. Simon Gillett will be available after his once match suspension.

Player to watch: Keigan Parke

After time on the bench Parker has found himself back in the frame after the injuries to Vernon and Burgess. He scored two in the game on Saturday but personally I think he can play better if he puts in a bit more effort. The gap in class should show on Tuesday night so he could run riot.

Match Facts & Stats

The two sides met this season in a pre-season friendly, Pool named a week side and lost out 1-0, trialist James Harris scoring Stanley`s goal.
