Blackpool vs. Leyton Orient

Bloomfield Road

30/09/06

15:00

Pool V Orient

It`s Pool`s 6th attempt at a home league win, and with Orient one place behind Pool in the lead it`s an early season six-pointer.

Blackpool Team News:

Grayson was forced to make a change to the 11 last week, Jorgensen suffered a groin strain which meant a starting place for David Fox. He might keep the same side again but with the pressure building he`ll be tempted it to mix it up.

Player to watch: Shaun Barker

The defender has now settled into the right back slot, and is now managing to make an impact going forward. Expect him to be busy dealing with the O`s player to watch Matty Lockwood.

Leyton Orient Team News:

The O`s have the worst away record in the league losing all five of their away games. They have managed to notch up two home win against Millwall and Bournemouth. Top scorer Matt Lockwood is a doubt with a dead leg and Adam Tann is also a major doubt.

Player to watch: Matt Lockwood

Lockwood is one of the O`s longest serving players spending 8 seasons at Brisbane Road. This season he`s had a great start scoring five times in 11 league starts. In his last match an amazing 11 minute hat-trick salvaged a point after the O`s went 3-0 down to Gillingham. Lockwood is a doubt for the game with a dead leg and would be a major loss.

Match Facts & Stats

The last time the two sides met was in the LDV Vans trophy final where goals from Hughes, Reid, Simpson and Ormerod secured a famous win for Blackpool. The last time the Seasiders lost at Bloomfield to Orient was back in 1929, so lets hope the record holds for a bit longer.

Should be a great game if the players to watch are full backs, and one of them is playing out of position!
