Blackpool vs. Barnsley

Bloomfield Road

22/04/06

15:00

3 are Still Needed...

The game on Saturday at home to Barnsley could be the last of the season where we are looking over our shoulders. A win WOULD seal our status in League 1 for another year, surely? I predicted the games for this coming week, and got these results:

17.Blackpool 44 54
Chesterfield 44 53
Rotherham 44 51
Yeovil 44 49
------------
Milton Keynes 44 49
Swindon 44 47
Hartlepool 44 45
24.Walsall 44 44

So it does look good, but I'm mostly wrong!!! Seriously though, one more win should do it for Larry's men.

Vital Quotes:

Good news for "Pool fans, Simon Grayson says: 'Coidy's back training with us (the squad) now."

He did say however: "He may not get a game though because of his fitness levels."

But good news none the less.

Blackpool Team News:

Only two major injuries now, with Phil Doughty and Danny Coid both still being out. Andy Taylor has gone back to Rovers. John Murphy won't return.

Out: Phil Doughty (Leg)
Danny Coid (Un fit, has recovered from broken ankle).
John Murphy

Player to watch: Peter Clarke

Well, what a goal!! He is Blackpool through and through, and won't want to be seeing us this far down the table. He hasn't always been at his best this campagin, but none of the BFC players have! Hopefully, we'll build around him next year.

Barnsley Team News:

The Oakwell club will be without Jacob Burns who sealed a move to Polish outfit Wisla Krakow last week whilst Defender Bobby Hassell is a doubt after missing the game against Swansea.

Doubt: Bobby Hassell (Ribs)

Player to watch: No, Not Graham Kavangh.....

Yes, he's an Irish centre midfielder, but he hasn't gone grey yet. It's Stephen McPhail. Seemed to lose his way whilst at Leeds, but has rediscovered his touch at The Tykes and has been instrumental to their success.
