A Problem At The Roots?

Not as big as last week, but they are all important from now until 7th May. I'm not sure about this game. We should lose really, but it's that time of year isn't it? How many times does it happen this time of year? Lower clubs putting dents into promotion pushes, easing their own worries. Hopefully this will happen for us, with big teams yet to play.

Vital Quotes:

Simon Grayson: I've been positive all along, obviously some people are less positive that I am but I've always remained so, We've just got to get there, six more points more or less guarantees you staying up, they quicker we get them the better for everybody, you can chill out a little bit, but we have still got a long way to go. We need to go now to Southend focused and a similar sort of performance today.

'(I) Might change different systems, but might keep the same personnel. We've had them (Southend) watched two, three times they are doing something right as they're up at the top of the division The nature of this division is that anybody can be anybody and we will go there, if we compete, turn up, work hard, pass the ball we’re a match for anybody.

Souhend Team News:

The league leaders have central defenders Efe Sodje and Spencer Prior out for the rest of the season.

Lewis Hunt looks set to come stright back in at the back, whilst Lee Bradbury is back in training, but won't make the match.

Out: Spencer Prior (Knee)
Efe Sodje (Fractured fibula)

Doubt: Lee Bradbury

Player to watch: Freddie Eastwood

18 goals this season, what more do I need to say? Was the key to the 'The Shripers' victory at Bloomfield Road and will pose a constant threat to Clark and co.

Blackpool Team News:

Big Murphs is going to sadly miss out with a hamstring problem, whilst Keith Lasley and Sam Stockley are rated very doubtfull for the game. Danny Coid and Phil Doughty are still missing.

Out: John Murphy (Hamstring)
Danny Coid (Ankle)
Phil Doughty (Leg)

Doubts: Sam Stockley (Calf)
Keith Lasley (Foot)

Player to watch: Keigan Parker

Will be interesting to see how much of an impact he will have spearheading the attack.

It seems as if Murphy is a burden to him, so expect an improved performance.

I really believe we can get a good result at Southend. Come on the Pool, get the ball to Williams and he will do the business!
