i'll be honest Layton there is a thing about a BMW driver and I'm not saying you fall into this category. I'd rather have the Merc, I think.

I think my beloved Bobby is right Japs make a cracking car but this time I can't see anything that fits the bill. I'll go and have a look at a suburu though

Looking now from the inside out it seems it's all other drivers that have the problem. I've not changed since owning a Vauxhall or Toyota, probably a lot more careful and polite.

Sounds like you would be picking the badge over the car Hasty. I've owned BMW and Mercedes, I've also driven a few of each and although I went out to buy the Mercedes the BMW was much, much better to drive. The Merc dealer too was abysmal.

I shall make a point of looking at the BMW site now. I did like the i3 but it probably isn't big enough. Point taken. Mind you the mini is a BMW

You couldn't go wrong with a Subaru Outback Nige - fit the two dogs in also!

Can't get my head round how a heater in an electric car can be efficient ? Must work off some sought of turbine generator. Electric car wouldn't do for me, but it does for others I suppose. Each to their own..... Aussies love those Subaru things, they're mad for em.

Bobby the petrol is a bit slow and I won't be doing any off road. I won't dismiss it completely though

I am happy with the size of my penis so am content to drive an old fart's car; an ageing Berlingo.

The petrol is a bit slow! The 0 to 60 time is a decent 7.5 seconds for the 3.6R and thats quite fast enough young man! Don't you go racing now!

So I have been wondering for a few years now why cars have side lights. Batteries on cars are so good you just put your main lights on and newer cars have running lights. Someone said to me that this was because people still used them as parking lights. I saw a car the other day that had parking lights, side lights, and headlights oh and obviously fog lights. What's going on?

People don't seem to get ticketed for parking on the wrong side of the road without parking lights on these days.
