what car

So I am thinking of a new car. I thought fast and furious but no where to drive it. Sensible and boring, no thanks.

An electric car novel and interesting, well the only one worth buying that isn't a super car is the BMw i3, I really like it but it is expensive and has BMW on it.

It can't be a diesel after 10 years of being encouraged to buy one they are now reviled shame we bought a brand new CrV diesel in September.

So a mini I think. Any thoughts? Clubman so the dogs have room?

Sounds like you can afford to pay to park.

All right if your dogs are the size of squirrels.

any alternatives then folks? I haven't even looked at a Clubman as yet but thought it bigger than a mini hatchback and cheaper than the Countryman.

The i3 is a wonderful car imo Prem i right about the range but it comes with an optional range extender which is a small petrol tank you can use as a generator for the battery ie there is no petrol engine to propel the car. This gets the range up to about 200 miles more than enough for most people apart from long journeys

Go on Autotrader look at prices etc ,read customer reviews which vary greatly it would appear you need the range extender or you could get stranded.....

Since owning one I've realised that nobody will let you out of junctions, give way or show any courtesy to you even though I consider myself to be very courteous myself. And I use my indicators!!!

Glad I've got a dashboard cam for the inevitable collision.

I have never driven a nicer car in my life, but would not recommend mine for transporting smelly mutts!

I love my CRV, so does the dog. Very practical and economical. I also love my Merc, but its down to personal taste at the end of the day.

Its my summer car, a SLK, not very practical but just a bit of fun. Would have a C or E class estate though.

Nice one mate, I had an SLK.

I test drive the Mercedes 220 AMG, before I took out a BMW 420D M Sport Convertible. The Beamer is Premier League to North West Counties!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Iv'e noticed certain areas favor certain cars. Beamers are popular in your neck of the woods. I had a 5 series a few years ago, the ex crashed it when we split up. Never saw it again after that.

i'll be honest Layton there is a thing about a BMW driver and I'm not saying you fall into this category. I'd rather have the Merc, I think.

I think my beloved Bobby is right Japs make a cracking car but this time I can't see anything that fits the bill. I'll go and have a look at a suburu though

Had a lot of Fords over the years - usually good specs , decent value for money and and decent running costs and insurance. I have also had VWs and BMWs which are very well built, good drives but more expensive. My current car is an Audi Q3 - really like it
