Brexit
Trump
Corbyn??

Lesturd winning the league . . .

I think the stars all aligned then but since then we've had a number of impossible dreams become just that, dreams.

It's taken me decades to understand why non millionaires vote Tory and it will take me beyond my last days to get over my despair that Britain will always be a Tory (selfish) nation. Feelings that were shared by the great Karl Marx. We may have the odd Labour Government in times of extreme social unrest or of course if a Labour leader is a Tory with the odd Labour policy.

With a heavy heart the certainty of Tory rule, Oystain's evil stewardship and the penny dropping with that stupid parking charge voting Vichyist, neither seems set to change soon.

We must keep hoping and for the sake of Marx, believing!

I'd settle for another Tony Blair "...a Tory with the odd Labour policy." I've had enough of this lot and their demolition of social care and the NHS. The embarrassment of how our parks church yards are left to decline.

Which are you :-

1. Haves, backed up with blind.

2. The blind

3. The sheep - "my dad voted that way and if was good enough for him"

4. The majority either too disillusioned or lazy to vote

5. The despairing

I'm the despairing

Hasty, I agree that there is a large slice of what your Dad passed on with many things. My Dad was a lifelong Seasider, he also had a social conscience driven by a poor upbringing which saw his brother die young due to not being able to afford medical treatment. My Mum also lost many brothers to diseases which can be treated easily nowadays.

The creation of the NHS imvho is the single most important factor in ensuring that even them that are born with no hope can at least enjoy the best chances of a longer, healthier and more productive life. The Tories are destroying the NHS, of that there is no doubt no matter what they try to claim otherwise.

The Tories are raping the middle classes too, personally I'm £35 a month worse off since the tax band changes, last year it was £55 a month worse off due to the National Insurance adjustments. Why would anyone then vote for them if you are not a millionaire? Cuts to services are savage, year on year thousands of decent paid jobs lost due to these savage cuts and all the while they've increased the debt dramatically.

Then we have Corbyn, sending his heartfelt condolences to the murderous IRA bastard and him and his number 2 being presented awards by the IRA. I hope they get to feel the pain and suffering that their pals inflicted on so many thousand innocents.

Don't ever forget - No surrender

Well that is what you call a drubbing for Labour. Still Diane Abbot defending Corbyn to the hilt.

The last 2 times Labour rook this scale of a drubbing before the General Elections they were annihilated in the main event. Cruella now has another 5 years to batter the poor, smash the working classes and muller the middle classes.

Why the feck will Corbyn and his unelectable pals just do the honourable thing and go? Jesus H Christ the Tories now have more support in Scotland, Lancashire and Lord knows how many more Labour heartlands.

really frightening. No opposition is not a good thing for the country I'm expecting the worst and know I won't be disappointed. Corbyn will go but the longer term damage to electoral reforms in the Labour party is a mystery to me and I fear a Corbyn clone to follow.

I would suggest that rather than Corbyn destroying the Labour Party, the press are doing their despicable best to discredit and destroy Corbyn. Every time I hear McDonnell speak of his economic plans I hear the voice of common sense, pragmatism and a concern to help the poorest without hammering the middle class, a rebalancing of the economy with more emphasis on good public services and infrastructure and an emphasis on investment in education and skills training for the future. What is not to like?

Layton, please come into 2017 and others might forget Oliver Cromwell, The Battle of The Boyne, The Shoot to Kill policies of the troubles etc. We now have a peace process and things have moved on. Let the bitterness go or it will regrow.
