'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Grayson catches a Fox

This week there has been a lot of comparisons of teenage wonder kid Theo Walcott to Thierry Henry, it something that players don’t like, but with Fox, a midfielder signing from Manchester United the first player to pop into ones head for comparison is former Pool starman Richie Wellens

Fox, 22 was born in Stoke and had a professional contract at Old Trafford from 2003, he never made an appearance for the first team and only first team action came at a loan period with Royal Antwerp. Back in 2004 he had a short loan period to Shrewsbury Town, he only made two appearance but managed to get one goal.

Signing an 18-month deal, Fox will hopefully become a permanent fixture in the middle of the Pool side. But if one was to compare him to Wellens then you’d find that at the end of Wellens first season at Bloomfield Road ended in relegation, so in that respect let’s hope Fox isn’t too similar to Wellens.
