Wes Signs...

...That is subject to the SFA ruling on Livingston's appeal due to 'breach of loan agreements'.

Blackpool Chairman, Karl Oyston, tonight spoke to Radio Lancashire and has stated that Wes Hoolahan has signed a two year contract with an option for a further year after a fantastic loan spell with the Seaside club.

Livingston have recently informed Blackpool that higher offers for the player's services have come in and - due to their financial situation - are trying to ensure they get a higher fee than was already agreed as part of the loan contract with Blackpool.

The Scottish Football Association and the English FA have been informed of Livingston's argument and Oyston has stated that there is 'no reason' why the Football Associations will not agree with Blackpool's stance, as all the loan arrangements have been honoured - as it appears Livingston are attempting to 'wriggle out' of the agreement of a price (speculated to be in the region of £75,000) which was set at the start of the season. Incidentally a loss of £25,000 from the price that the Scottish side paid for the tricky winger from Irish side Shelbourne last January.

Whatever the situation with Livingston, the paperwork was signed before Wes jetted off on holiday after returning to Ireland to see his family and he is set to become Blackpool's first summer signing - and possibly, the most important in many fans eyes.
