Day Release?

With various clubs publishing their released players, Blackpool's list is out too.

Playoff finalists Yeovil Town let seven of their squad go earlier today, including right full back Andy Lindegaard.

Three players from The Seasiders have left the club: Marc Joseph, Sean Patterson and Ciaran Donnelly.

The aformentioned players have to search for a new club, whereas first team players Keigan Parker, Michael Jackson, Scott Vernon, Claus Jorgensen and David Fox all secured options on their contracts.

Young player of the year, Lewis Edge had his option triggered and will gain experience next season from going out on loan for a sustained period of time.

This means that Danny Coid has been offered a new contract - albeit probably on lower terms, and maybe a pay as you play deal - which he is yet to accept.

Matty Blinkhorn and Phil Doughty have also been offered new deals, but both look set to have a future away from Bloomfield Road.

Paul Tierney, Adrian Forbes and Marcus Bean all have an extra year on their contracts, so couldn't have been released.

It is likely that the club will offload players as the summer goes on and as Simon Grayson spends on incoming transfers.

All of the loan players spells ended on the 27th of this month, apart from Wes Hoolahan whose loan expires on 17th June.

Scott Metcalfe is the only youth team player in his final year to remain at the club, as he is expected to put pen to paper on a proffesional contract soon.
