'If It's Football, It's Vital'

King Keigan

Parker grabbed his 16 goal of the season in style, curling in from the angle past Yeovil`s Stephen Mildenhall on 52 minutes.

Parker has scored 41 goals in all competitions for the Seasiders from 101 starts and 39 substitute appearances.

This season 16 goals is his best total since moving to England from St. Johnson in the summer of 2004, 12 goals in his first season and 13 last season.

Parker is now looking forward to next season and believes that the Seasiders can achieve in a higher division. "We've got players who are capable of doing well in the Championship and you just have to look at Barnsley and Colchester, who have done well.

'We can take spirit from what they've done but more importantly we can enjoy the next few weeks.

And to scoring at Wembley 'It's the best day of my career. I've scored against Celtic and Rangers before but to win at Wembley is something I'll treasure for the rest of my life.

'We're a young squad, apart from the three or four more experienced players that we have.

'If we can bring in some quality, who is to say we can't do well in the Championship? That was our 10th win in a row and any team that does that has a bit of spirit about them.'
