Men In Black

Well, it's that time again folks! Taking charge of the vitally important League One clash between Blackpool and Tranmere Rovers is...the one...the only...RAY OLIVIER!

I hope everyone is as excited as I am?

The West Midlands based official has been the man in black on 21 occasions this season, and also has seen The Seasiders lose 2-0 away at Chesterfield.

Coincidently, for that game, Olivier received a huge pat on the back from 'Pool supporters when he scored a huge average of 1/5 for his performance.

This season he's handed out 38 yellows and three reds (with two sendings off coming in his first match of the campaign between Tranmere and Oldham). Only five Championship games have been under the stewardship of Olivier.

In past years, he's made dodgy decisions against Blackpool: the worst of all coming in last years 3-2 defeat at Swansea when he allowed a goal that was blatantly offside.

If there wasn't enough reasons to hate Olivier, here's another horrific fact: The Seasiders haven't won a game that Olivier has been involved in since 2003, a 1-0 midweek home win against Brentford - which was a good result at the time. The back four that night? Grayson, Flynn, Hendry and Richardson. Shall I laugh or cry?

*Despite my obvious hatred for Mr Olivier, we at Vital would like to remind raters that they should mark him only on what they've seen throughout the 90 minutes, as hard as that sounds!*
