Rabs And Wes In Team Of Week

Blackpool stars, Wes Hoolahan and Paul Rachubka have been named in this weeks League 1 team of the week.

Rachubka - on loan from Huddersfield Town - has been a revelation since his switch across the pennines and has played 8 games for The Seasiders, keeping summer signing Rhys Evans out of the team.

Hoolahan, also on loan, this time from Livingston, has become the darling of Bloomfield Road with his astounding performances so far this year. His goal on Saturday was his best in tangerine to boot and he'll be looking to build on that sweet strike. A number of Championship clubs, including Sunderland, Wolves and Coventry have been tracking the Irish winger.

I think Rachubka's selection in team of the week makes a mockery of the accolade however. I wasn't aware that Paul had that good-a-game on Saturday, and even conceaded a goal. It does seem the Football League does a lucky dip with these selections sometimes!

On the flip side to that, Wes Hoolahan certainly deserves recognition for his showing against Crewe!
