On Me 'Ed, Son!

Blackpool go into Saturday's game at home to Crewe with a poor record against the Alex.

The first meeting between the sides was in January 1912 when the teams battled out a 1-1 draw in the FA Cup. The match went to a replay which was 2-2 and The Seasiders finally won the second replay 2-1. Unfortunately for the 'Pool that year, we lost 1-0 away at Bolton in round two.

The two teams then didn't meet until the 81/82 season and have regulary played eachother every since.

The match back in October was won by the mighty 2-1 at Gresty Road with a last minute header from Shaun Barker.

Prior to the game this season, The Seasiders hadn't overcome Alex since 1995. That day a 2-1 win was again enough, with Tony Ellis and Andy Watson scoring.
