'Pool unlucky not to win` says Fergie

Blackpool came away with a point as they entertained Nottingham Forest in Saturday`s game at Bloomfield Road.

Jamaal Lascelles goal just before the break looked to be the only goal of the game, but Andy Keogh`s late headed equaliser meant Pool were rewarded with a point for all their efforts.

This game was the Tangerines` 14th game without a win, but temporary boss Barry Ferguson took many positives from the performance.

He said: 'I`ve never doubted their attitude and obviously I`m proud of what they have done`, before adding: 'I wouldn`t be sat here if I didn`t believe a win was coming. I`ve had a full week with a full squad and it`s given me time to put into practise what style and what formation I want to play. My main concern is to start winning games`


Ferguson put out a very attacking team in an attempt to win the game with the likes of Stephen Dobbie, Faris Haroun, Andy Keogh and Steven Davies all being named in the starting 11.

Debutant Keogh was delighted with his first goal for his new club, stating: 'It was nice to get a goal on my first start, I`m really happy because it was a great performance from everyone, even though I think we deserved all three points`.

Hopefully, this is the performance to kick-start Pool`s season. Certainly the Seasiders were unlucky not to win the game and the performance from the team was the best we`ve seen in a while.

Up next is a very tricky game at play off hopefuls Ipswich Town. A performance similar to the one on Saturday is a must if Pool are to get anything from the game. A win is needed soon. Will Pool pick up all three points away at Ipswich?
