Grant and Caddis set to sign

Blackpool are finally set to unveil two new signings, with defender Paul Caddis and striker Bobby Grant very close to agreeing deals with the club.

Caddis spent the final part of last season on loan at championship club Birmingham and has recently expressed his desire to leave current club Swindon so he can play in the Championship next season. Pool have had a bid accepted for the experienced right back and are set to start talks with him soon, and he is believed to sign for the club very soon.

Caddis is likely to be a good signing for the club, his experience playing in the position will prove key next season. The need for a right back at the club is huge and Caddis would definitely fill that gap, he is believed to be a decent defender at this level so will likely be first choice next season.

Pool have also had a bid accepted for want away Rochdale striker Bobby Grant. The jump up from league 2 to Championship is likely to appeal to the young striker and with wages unlikely to prove a real problem, he is also likely to sign very shortly.

Grant scored 16 league goals last season which for a young striker is a good return. However scoring all his goals at a lower level may place doubt in many fans mind, with the step up the leagues for him meaning his goal scoring ability may decrease.

However with him only being 23 he certainly has potential and the ability to improve, meaning he could be a good signing. If he suits Paul Ince`s system for next year then he could score a few goals for the club, hopefully this signing is one that will dramatically strengthen the strike force.
