Boss Confirms Ince Bid Accepted
Blackpool said that a "massive offer" would have to come in for Thomas Ince for them to consider selling him. On Monday it was reported that Cardiff has indeed submitted a bid, it was even claimed that this was accepted.
Nothing came out until today when Paul Ince confirmed, from the training base in Portugal, that a Cardiff bid has been accepted.
Ince says it's 50/50 as to what his England U21 international son will do, he said: 'Cardiff have come in massively for Thomas and the chairman has accepted their offer. I'm not sure what the offer is as I've been away.
'It's a case of when he comes back, we'll sit down and see what we want to do.
'He loves it here and has told me he's in no rush to leave the club.
'I think it's 50/50 at the moment. It's a tricky one for me - ideally you want your son to be playing in the Premier League, but you also want him to be playing for you. I wouldn't put my hat on it that he'll be playing in the Premier League this year.'
I don't think the winger will be forced into joining the Welsh side if it's not what he wants but with £8m going to be much more than Blackpool would get for him in January, definitely next summer, if Ince Jnr is moving on it'll be a case of better to be sooner rather than later.
