Crainey Closes In On Wigan Move

Crainey Closes In On Wigan Move

One of the many players that opted to leave Blackpool this summer was Stephen Crainey; he's believed to be close to signing for a new club.

Wigan are keen to sign the 32-year-old with Sky Sports "understanding" that he is undergoing a medical at the DW.

Crainey would have been a player Paul Ince (or another manager should Ince move aside?) would have wanted to keep as he would have offered plenty, with well over 200 appearances for Blackpool, and a wealth of experience in the Championship, the left back will make a good signing for Owen Coyle.
