The Type Of Player Ince Could Go For

Paul Ince's late arrival as manager last season meant he had limited opportunities when wanting to bring players in to the club. However the loan signing of Gary Mackenzie, which looks set to become permanent, gave fans hope that Ince would follow up this signing with even more talent.

Ince has already stated his desire to bring in players with a point to prove, hoping to recreate the effect Ian Holloway's signings had during the promotion season. Ince told the Blackpool Gazette: 'there are very good players out there, with lots of quality, who want to prove a point. Those are the types of player I want and am looking at'.

However with Ince recently having to turn to trialists due to the lack of current squad members, you have to feel that he may not get the opportunity to sign the 'quality' he would like.

Ince has already showed his preference for hard working and tough players through playing the likes of Chris Basham and Kirk Broadfoot towards the end of last season, but also showed his desire to start players with more flair by introducing and playing players like Ludovic Sylvestre and his son Thomas Ince.

The exact players Ince is interested in signing are still relatively unclear, only defender Gary Mackenzie currently looks set to join the Tangerines. However what is clear is that Ince like many managers has a preference for players he has worked with before, recently released Neal Bishop could be a possible target having worked under the Blackpool manager at Notts County whilst previously linked strikers David Goodwillie and Kevin Davies could also interest Ince.
