Billy Davies - Unfinished Business

Blackpool have today interviewed a manager. If the rumours are true, it's Billy Davies. He certainly creates an opinion and certainly has a few of his own.

No stranger to the play offs; famously saying 'job done' after PKE had won their first leg against Leeds only to be in picked days later. And of that other play off semi...... Strike up 'One Day Like This', Cue Chissy on the commentary, with ironic interjections by Steve Canavan of 'job done' as the Seasiders triumphed over Forest.

Fast forward 12 months - another play off semi and against Swansea was Billy's last match. On paper, as many before, despite opinions, he should have bounced back. But Davies was to have an enforced Sabattical. During that time, he has reflected on things. Training methods, tactics, even the length of grass to train on. Know may well be the time to have another chance.

A time out of the game can change a person, the brittle edges can go, tactics may change, a new found enthusiasm can appear. It's happened before. It's happened at Blackpool. Some guy who had a year out, discovered Spanish football and was desperate for another go got a gig at the seaside.

If it is Billy Davies, lets hope a similar outcome ensues
