Vivian and Irie-Bi on trial at Blackpool

Two of the trialists due to play in tomorrow's friendly against Chorley are Matheus Vivian and Brice Irie-Bi, Vital Blackpool can reveal.

Vivian is a 30-year-old Brazilian central defender who has played in France for the last seven years. Lique 2 side Grenoble signed him from Botafogo in 2005 before Metz snapped him up two years later. He moved to Nantes in 2010 - also in the second tier - until his contract ran out at the end of last season.

The defender won the Under 17 World Cup with Brazil in 1999 and has played in the German and Spanish top flight, albeit briefly.

Irie-Bi also plays in France, for Lille B. A 20-year-old midfielder who once coveted the interest of Stoke City - possibly detecting another Ian Holloway-Gary Penrice link - Irie-Bi is seen as a player who could benefit from progressing in the Seasiders' development squad.

It is unclear as to whether Scott Robertson will feature at Bloomfield Road tomorrow. Sky Sports are reporting that he in the process of completing a move.
