It took all of a full week … and maybe longer in some cases … for the implications of Blackpool's Wembley success to sink in and so it was early June before reality struck. The club with the smallest resources in Premier League history would be asked to compete with some of the world`s richest and most famous football clubs. That reality became stark when the fixtures were released in mid June, listing the first four away games as trips to Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea and Liverpool! From being top of the Premier League until seven thirty in the evening on the season's opening day right through to the nerve jangling 'Survival Sunday' at the end of May, the book chronicles the highs and lows of a truly exceptional campaign. It includes text from the broadcastable post match interviews with the inimitable manager, Ian Holloway, and many of the clips which could never have made it to the air waves.
