'Pool Expected To Improve Scotland Offer

Blackpool are expected to make an improved offer for Ipswich striker Jason Scotland according to the press in East Anglia.

The East Anglian Daily Times report that Scotland is one of 'Pool manager Ian Holloway's principle targets on transfer deadline day and is set to improve the £350,000 offer for the Trinidad striker that was rejected yesterday.

Despite scoring at the weekend, the Portman Road club are prepared to let Scotland go, but are believed to want a fee much closer to the £750,000 they paid for him a year ago.

One striker who will not be joining the Seasiders however is Manchester United's Mame Biram Diouf.

Heavily linked with BFC earlier this summer, the player's agent has told Vital that he has no interest in joining a Championship club, even on loan. Indeed, his agent claims that he has been attracting a lot of interest from Premier League clubs in the North West.

However, 'Pool on currently working on several deals with chairman Karl Oyston, Ollie and club secretary Matt Williams currently locked in a room at Bloomfield Road trying to conclude deals.

It is believed that 'Pool have tabled a fresh offer for Jason Puncheon but that any deal is miles away, whilst they are also believed to be monitoring the situations of the likes of Barry Bannan, Stephen Dobbie and John Fleck.

As always, Vital will bring you any transfer news as soon as we have it.
