Vaughan to Blackpool Rumours: Rubbish

Vaughan to Blackpool Rumours: Rubbish

Just nipping this one in the bud early on...

In one of the most ridiculous transfer rumours of the day, David Vaughan has been linked with a loan move back to Blackpool.

However, we can confirm that these are false and the midfielder will be staying at Sunderland.

Twitter had been rife with talk of a swift return to Bloomfield Road for Vaughan - with the Blackpool Gazette also jumping onto it.

However, the idea has been laughed off by representatives of the player.

After moving to the Stadium of Light, the 28-year-old has struggled to get game time under Steve Bruce but will continue to fight for his place alongside the likes of Craig Gardener, Lee Cattermole and Jack Colback.

Transfer news will follow throughout the day on Vital, so stay tuned.
