Talksport: Swedish International Bid Rejected

Talksport are this evening reporting that Blackpool have had an £800,000 offer for Swedish international striker Mathias Ranégie rejected.

According to the national radio station, Ranégie's club Hacken are thought to want £1 million for the 6 foot 4 inch 27 year old striker who's scored 17 goals in 21 games for the club this season.

Ranégie began his career in Sweden, but soon moved to France to be with his father where he began playing amateur football for Levallois.

In 2005 he returned to Sweden, signing for Majorna before moving onto Lärje/Angered. It was his form here - where he smashed 25 goals in just 22 league games - that caught the interest of IFK Goteborg.

However, he struggled at IFK, scoring just once before a loan move to Go Ahead Eagles and a permanent move to Hacken, where he seems to have regained his goalscoring touch.

He has two caps for Sweden, scoring one goal (against Syria).
