Fans Happy With Halstead As Second Choice

In our latest poll we asked you whether or not you were happy with Mark Halstead being Blackpool's second choice keeper - and 58% said that you are.

Halstead has had to wait patiently for a chance at Bloomfield Road, having made just two appearances for the Seasiders.

However, with the departures of Richard Kingson and Paul Rachubka this summer, Halstead now finds himself as second choice and will start 'Pool's Carling Cup clash against Sheffield Wednesday tonight.

And with Matt Gilks having picked up an ankle injury on international duty, Halstead may well have the opportunity to stake his claim for a starting berth against Peterborough on Sunday. However, he'll have to play well as the Seasiders are known to be looking at other keepers.

It'll certainly be interesting to see how much faith us fans have in the young man after tonight's game... hopefully he puts in a sterling performance!

Our new poll asks you who you see as Stephen Crainey's understudy - Matt Hill or Bob Harris.
