Golden Opportunity for Sutherland?

Whilst we all would have liked to sign David Goodwillie or Ishmael Miller, the reality is that we're probably going to have to go into tomorrow night's game with Hull with who we already have on our books.

But that could be a good thing. Why? Because it gives Craig Sutherland a golden opportunity to establish himself in the first team, that's why.

The youngster has impressed this summer since signing from a college football side in America, racking up two goals and an assist in three pre-season friendlies.

The truth is that the 22 year old striker would have probably had to bide his time in terms of getting a first team opportunity had either Goodwillie or Miller signed, but now, he can perhaps be expected to make the bench tomorrow night.

The backroom staff and rest of the players are said to be very impressed with Sutherland's workrate and professionalism in training, and if he can bring both to the KC Stadium tomorrow night infront of the Sky cameras, we might just have a super-sub on our hands.
